Re: RANSAC segmentation failed
I am using the RANSAC algorithm in my research. In the research, I am investigating different sets of support points (0.01, 0.1, 1, 5, 10, 20, 35, 50, 65, 80, 95) with the question of which % are enough to find the primitive of a plane. By 50% the algorithm fails. Would you agree to the following: D...

RANSAC segmentation failed
Hello Daniel, i wanted to run RANSAC with following information. Unfortuentely I get the message "[qRansacSD] Segmentation failed..." What is the problem here? It ditd work with 15 mio points, but not with 22 mio points. Why? Would it be possible to define smaller sampling resolutions like...

Primitive Information
Hi Daniel, after using the RANSAC, we will get a plane primitive with specific information such as Normal, Dip/Dip direction. Could you elaborate on this? Could find any information. I suggest that the Normal is the plane equation in coordinate form and the dip suggests rotation to the x- or y-axis,...

Re: Clipping with polygon list
Each point lying on a polyline gets a vector orthogonal to the connection of the next point. Along this vector and a definable value, a volume is extruded from the polyline. Here of course the question arises, who is the "next" point since a point of a polyline always has 2 "neighbors...

Re: Clipping with polygon list
It would be really a cool feature if it would be possible to define (after selecting the polyline) a vector in which the polyline will be extruded but i understand, that is not easy to implement....

Re: export of aligned point cloud to mesh with geo coordinates
Can you release a new stable release? Our IT department will not install any alpha or beta versions of the software.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Clipping with polygon list
Would it be possible to import a polyline into CloudCompare GUI? Then I also could use the scissors tool. I'd only need to define the orthogonal direction.
