CloudCompare Python Plugin last version
hello Daniel it is possible that in the next release 2.14.alpha xx/xx/2024 insert the new code for the plugin “CloudCompare Python Runtime”, in fact I reencounter a problem that propably is related just to an old version of the code https://github.com/tmontaigu/CloudCompare-PythonRuntime/issues/125 ...

Coordinate request 2.14.alpha vs 2.13.2
hello Daniel, please note that with python inside CC 2.13.2 the request for point coordinates via the following code works, whereas in version CC 2.14.alpha for all coordinates only one value is always returned (perhaps the first....) All the codes I have written now do not work inside CC 2.14.alpha...

Feature Request: Improved Parsing of Scalar Names in ASCII File Imports
Hi Daniel, I have a suggestion for improving CloudCompare that I believe would be very beneficial. When importing ASCII files that have scalar names in the first row, it would be incredibly helpful if, when the option to use the first row as the scalar names is activated, CloudCompare could also par...

Distance cloud vs primitive - feature "split X, Y, and Z components"
Hi Daniel, I have a quick request regarding CC. When calculating the distance between a point cloud and a primitive, would it be possible to implement an option to also calculate the three scalars that represent the distance components in dx, dy, and dz? This would be similar to the "split X, Y...

Re: Merging Clouds from command line generate "original cloud index"
Hi Daniel, Yes, I believe the program should function in the same manner as it does when using the GUI version. In cases where at least one cloud already has an "original cloud index" scalar field, it should simply overwrite the existing scalar field. Thank you for considering this suggest...

Re: SHP Shift Crash
Hi, Daniel Thank you very much for the prompt update regarding the small bug ...... I truly appreciate the interim solution you provided. Selecting the vertices and using 'Edit > Edit Global Shift and Scale' directly on the cloud works perfectly. Your support and quick response are greatly appreciat...

Merging Clouds from command line generate "original cloud index"
Hi Daniel, when performing the merging of multiple clouds via command line in CC, it would be highly beneficial to have a switch to generate a scalar indicating the origin of each cloud, referred to as "original cloud index." This feature would greatly enhance the management and tracking o...

SHP Shift Crash
Hi Daniel,
when importing an SHP file into CC, the program crashes and closes if you try to consult the shift coordinates afterward (select SHP, Edit, Edit global shift and scale, crash !).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any solutions or workarounds would be appreciated.
Thank you!
