Yeah I'm encountering this issue again, 519 individual .xyz files that as a single box is 37,600 m by 37,700 m.
The only solution I have is to put something heavy on my keyboard to hold down the enter key and go make a coffee while it loads the files.
kind regards,
Andrew

Re: Coordinates are too big - issue
Hi Daniel, yes i do used yes to all. However the window just pops up again for the next file. For large topographic datasets it encounters large coordinates that cannot be fixed and the window i posted pops up for every subsequent file. Thus I end up with something on my keyboard holding the enter k...

Coordinates are too big - issue
Hello, would it be possible to have the "warning: previously used shift/or scale don't seem to adapted to this entity" not pop up again after hitting yes to all? In this instance there are over 600 point cloud tiles that cover a huge area. To load them in I am currently using a tape dispen...

Re: Invalid Raster Elevations - yes to all button
HI Daniel, they were ASCII grid files. They just cover an area that if you were to put it all in a rectangle is about 50 km by 35 km. Therefore eventually the files end up being shifted to the coordinate values in my example picture where the x value wants to be -45,000 m and the y value wants to be...

Re: Invalid Raster Elevations - yes to all button
Hi Daniel, fantastic! that will really speed up loading in large numbers of raster files. With the previous shift thing, honestly any logic that keeps me from having to hold down the enter key every time this pops up: previous shift2.PNG I was wondering whether it would be possible to continue loadi...

Invalid Raster Elevations - yes to all button
Hello, Just wanted to suggest that a "yes to all" button be added for this: previous shift.PNG Additionally, it may be useful to modify the yes to all for the coordinate translate/rescale. Having some logic in it to automatically rescale all the added points instead of asking again about t...

Re: Thinning ground survey
Hi Daniel, I had a crack at it and had difficulty achieving what i was attempting to generate. I computed the curvature and then had a look at what areas were what curvature, checking to see whether distinct man made features or sharp features were either above or bellow a set curvature. However whe...

Re: Thinning ground survey
Hi Daniel, cheers for that. That is definitely an option, my only concern is how to do a QA/QC check to see whether the resulting point cloud at least reasonably represents the overall shape of the terrain with not too much of a volumetric error. I'll give it a try and see what I can come up with. t...

Thinning ground survey
Hey guys, I had a look around but wasn't able to find a feature of plugin that does this (I very easily could have missed it) but is there anything that can complete topographic survey thinning similar to this process: "Points are removed if they are less than 10m from the nearest adjacent poin...

Re: Contour line difference CloudCompare
That's great to hear. I'll give it a test when I get some time. Probably not for a week or so. Thanks Daniel :D
