loading plugins with CC 2.9 beta on ubuntu

How did you launch CC, by the mean of the icons in the menu?

From the exe in my build folder

then it's normal, it won't work like this.
you have to run make install and then simply run "CloudCompare" or to be sure run "/usr/local/bin/CloudCompare" and tell me if it works

I recompiled CC and launched it as you suggested and now it works
So I think the problem really came from me...
