Hello,
I have topo surveys on angular rocks (several hundred) and I would like to make meshes. There are only a few points (less than a dozen) per rocks, qPoissonRecon crash and Delaunay 2D 1/2 do not systematically give a realistic shape without treatment behind. Would you have an idea how to get a shape that best encompasses these small point clouds?
Thank you in advance
Rock meshes from few points
Re: Rock meshes from few points
Wow, only a dozen of points :(.
I really don't see what can be done (especially since CloudCompare is not a meshing tool ;). qPoissonRecon shouldn't crash, but I doubt it can create anything of interest anyway with so few points.

Re: Rock meshes from few points
Thanks a lot! But the Blender solution creates only surfaces (like Delaunay)?
I will try.
Otherwise I've found this work http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 1517300233
But I'm very bad with matlab.

If you create the faces to enclose a volume it will be a watertight object. Sorry, it is a manual solution.
