I had that issue on 2.9.0 version and anterior. sometimes when saving point clouds in the CC bin format I have issue when I reload them in CC; they don't display, the Box Dimensions X,Y,Z goes infinite. I have this issue recurrently but not with all the files I save.

Sorry for not replying promptly, I was a bit accupied.

by the way, is there a way to process a huge amount of points in CC without loading them into the RAM like merging and meshing hundreds of point clouds of the same area. some kind of cataloging the like used in ArcGIS and Global Mapper.

Not yet. We have the aim to add 'out of core" support in CloudCompare to handle big clouds.
However I doubt this will ever let you mesh a huge cloud (as the meshing process is done by third party libraries).
