error "Points must be visible"

Hi

I am using 2.10 alpha 64 bit version. The 3D image is a .ply file

When I try to do "Point list picking" I always get the error "Points must be visible".

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

I guess that what you call "3D image" is in fact a mesh? In this case the "Point list picking" tool might not work. You have to convert the mesh to a cloud first (with Edit > Mesh > Sample points) or simply use the tool on the mesh vertices if they are dense enough (just make the 'vertices' entity brlow the mesh visible and highlight it.
