Doubts with Point picking

I was using point picking tool and i got a doubt while using 3 points to make a triangle, I´ve attached a file to ilustrate.

So the question is: What are AB, BC and CA? I tought that should be distances, but in this example it gets clear that they arent distances between A,B and C.

Oops, it looks like the squared distance! I guess the square root has been forgotten ;). I'll fix this asap.
