Nope. You have to set the slice as thin as possible (it will depend on your cloud density). If it's too thick, you'll see the same problem you faced before. Il will be less accurate.

The you set the reminding with the gap value.

I got.
Resuming, to have a good result I have to set a slide thickness to 3 mm and a gap of 0.097 to extract a serie of contours every 10 cm.

Have you asked CC to 'split contour(s) on longer edges'? In this case you probably to reduce the 'Max edge length' parameter, or simply disable this option.
