volume calculation

Post by Adam »

Hi,

I'm using the volume calculation. What is the added volume and removed volume? and which value do you consider? for example, I want to say the volume has increased to +000. and what are the volumes of the first cloud and the second one?

Volume: 23.69
Surface: 9,053.25
----------------------
Added volume: (+)176.02
Removed volume: (-)152.32
----------------------
Matching cells: 99.3%
Non-matching cells:
ground = 0.5%
ceil = 0.2%
Average neighbours per cell: 8.0 / 8.0

Thanks

Well, the added and removed volumes are the 'positive' (appearing) and 'negative' (disappearing) material.

And I'm not sure about the "+000" thing?

But to get the volume of the first and second clouds independently, you would need to use the same tool with a "constant" altitude as reference (if that's acceptable in your case). Otherwise you would need another cloud that represent this reference ...

Hi, thanks for your response.

I meant in my case, is it right to say the volume has increased by 23.69 m3? which of these values should I consider when I compare the two clouds?
