CloudCompare download & startup

I just found out about this software and it looks really awesome. I am having trouble getting the program to run. I have WIN7 64bit on a Lenovo laptop, I downloaded the 64bit zip file, reinstalled C++ (as suggested) and I get this error message
"Application was unable to start correctly (0zc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
I am not a programmer but do have an above average knowledge of computer operation & WIN7 64bit.
Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this, please?

Hi,

Another user already had this same problem. Unfortunately, after many tests we couldn't understand why it failed to start... Can you try to run the 32 bits version and tell me if it works?
