Hello,
I'd like to compare multiple point clouds to a reference mesh. My aim is it to find regions on my reference mesh where no volume changes happen.
Is there a possibility to do this?
I'm totally new to cloudcompare and working with meshes and point clouds. So there might be a obvious solution to my problem I'm not aware of.
So far I just found the posibility to compare one point cloud to a mesh and obtain signed differences in - what looks to me like - a heat map fashion.
Thank you in advance for your help
Best regards
Tom

Re: Compare multiple point clouds to reference mesh
Hum, I was going that the only obvious solution was to compute the distances between each cloud and the mesh indeed... Otherwise I don't see anything else.

thank you for the quick answer.
Maybe I extract the sections that don't show volume change (for each point cloud to mesh) and than compare them to each other. So that i can see if the areas without volume change are always at the same place (or overlap).
