Packaging cloud compare using App-V

Post by noobmaster69 »

Hi, I was trying to repackage the cloud compare using App-V sequencer and Hyper V as for my virtual machine.

What happen is that when I install the cloud compare, it is not running or no interface is coming up.
I have tried looking in task manager if the exe is running, it run for a second then gone it is like it didn't run.
Also tried checking all settings during installation of the software.

So I was wondering if there is kind of relation since I was using a virtual machine.

Generally the challenge with virtual machines (or servers) is to properly manage the display. CC requires a valid graphic card and/or minimum OpenGL support. So you should probably investigate in this direction....

Thank you daniel, during my investigation with Hyper-V and exploring some of its settings, I was trying to enable the graphic support for Hyper-V, but it seems they are not supporting it anymore, here is the screenshot of the setting.

Haven't explored that much yet, will continue to investigate on this one.

I would say yes, as long as it supports a recent version of OpenGL?
