Application states it requires least OpenGL 2.1, but I have 3.1

Post by svenfold »

As the title suggests, the application is not opening for me, instead showing me an error message stating that I require at least OpenGL 2.1 to open it. I downloaded the utility OpenGL Extensions Viewer in order to check my OpenGL version and it states that my OpenGL version is 3.1. Thus, I am not sure what the problem is. My OS is Windows 7 64bit and the version of CC which I installed is version 2.11.3.

Thanks

Are you using a remote display maybe? Or do you have a computer with dual chipset/GPU?

No I am not working remotely. I am working on my laptop so I only have the onboard graphics (Intel HD Graphics 3000) and a single CPU (Intel Core i5).

Ah, not all Intel chipsets are supported (the support for older ones was discontinued by Qt some time ago). You can try to update the driver, as it sometimes help. But generally Qt refuses to manage these old chipsets.
