Good afternoon,
I apologize for this question, but please keep in mind that I am a "newbie" to CloudCompare.
When calculating C2C distances, it gives the option to "split the X, Y, and Z components". When I check that box, and after saving the point cloud and reloading it, I then have the option to display "Scalar Field", "Scalar Field #2", "Scalar Field #3", and "Scalar Field #4".
Which scalar field relates to each axis? (i.e., is Scalar Field #2 the distances in the X-direction...???)
Thanks.

Re: X, Y, Z Scalar Fields of C2C Distances
You are saving to a file format which does not save scalar field names apparently, after the original calculation CloudCompare will save 4 scalar fields named "C2C absolute distances"
"C2C absolute distances (X)"
"C2C absolute distances (Y)"
"C2C absolute distances (Z)"
But that isn't guaranteed to be the order in which they are saved.
Can you perhaps save to a different file format preferably .bin the CloudCompare file format?

You can also have the columns labels/names if you check the right option in the ASCII format save dialog
