I am new to Cloud Compare. I am giving the software a test drive for my team, but I am having some difficulty getting started. I am trying to load some files but nothing seems to be working right. I'm not really the most tech-savvy guy, so when things don't work as expected it takes a lot of work for me to figure out why. So...here are two screen shots.
I assume the red means there is a problem here. Each cell contains the NODATA value. Can someone explain why this is, what causes it and how I might be able to fix it?
I have not been able to get my point cloud to appear in the viewer. I've played around with things for a while, but I can't figure it out yet. Have any suggestions?

Re: Can't load data
you need to use the "Skip lines" option set to 6 as the first 6 lines shown are a header rather than data.

Worse, this 'ASCII' file is not a point cloud (a list of 3D points), but a raster file.
To open it you have to choose the 'Raster' file type in the drop-down list of the 'File > Open' dialog.
