Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to import a model from CloudCompare into Maya with vertex colors so I can get a bit of texturing. Normally I would do this in Metashape and export as FBX and that works. When I export an OBJ or MA from CloudCompare and do "select mesh display > toggle display colors attribute" in Maya I'm not seeing any vertex coloring, everything remains grey shaded. Is there something I'm missing?
CC has some nice options when creating a mesh that I would like to make use of, but I need to be able to see the vertex colors in Maya to continue my work.
Vertex texturing in Maya
Re: Vertex texturing in Maya
Since you start from an OBJ mesh, I believe it must have one or several textures (.mtl file, and probably image files) but no vertex per color?
In this case, CC won't convert this texture to vertex colors when exporting the mesh to another format...
