clip a mesh

Post by nikoue »

I am sure, If I haven't seen that in my dream, that in the past I was able to use the section tool in meshes. Now this tool don't affect meshes but only point clouds.
Is there any mistake from my side, or I just remember wrong?
Thank you.

Are you referring to the 'Cross section' tool (then yes, it works with meshes) or the 'Segment extraction' tool? (then no, I don't believe it has ever worked with meshes?).

Yes for the cross section tool. I am sure it used to work. Now just shade the part I try to section.

Ah, that's a glitch, because the sub-meshes (all the entities named 'default') are also visible and hide the segmentation.

The current workaround is to select all these sub-meshes, and deactivate them at once (shortcut 'a'). Then you'll be able to use the Cross Section tool normally.

I'll try to fix that asap.
