I have encounter an issue by saving and loading the point cloud with extra scaler field as e57 extentions. Is it not possible to do that at all?

extra scaler field for E57? Or for LAS files? I've never heard about this feature for E57 files.

I wanted to add "Standard deviation" or "distance to the scanner" or simply "Normals" as scalar field to the data and save it as .e57. It is possible to save it as .bin file but not as .e57
I think it is considered as extension to .e57 but cloudcompare would not open this extended part.
