I think what would need to be adressed is that when it "can´t" interpolate, ease the restrictions that bring the interpolationi to this point. I mean.

From an older answer of your, similarly "On the corners, we are missing data to interpolate. The best we can do is inside the convex hull of the raster.

So what I would suggest is that increase the radius where it is search for a pixel with value until it is found.
