Cloud Compare Causing Malware/Virus

Hello -

First time a user here. Last night I installed Cloud Compare (windows 64 bit) and it appeared to cause a virus - specifically not being able to load webpages on any browser. I cleared the virus but I'm afraid to reinstall.

Any recommendations? Try to use this for my 3D scanning business.

Well, the official version is virus free normally. Where have you downloaded CC from? And are you sure this infection is related to CC's installer? (normally, anti-viruses are able to detect that during the installation, and even before sometimes, right when you start the installer).

I think I downloaded it from https://www.danielgm.net/cc/release/ without even noticing. I'm going to try from the main website.
