Hello, everybody!
I have recently acquired a 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse to work with CloudCompare and other 3D software. It works smoothly, but it is really annoying not being able to lock the rotation axis when using it. With a regular mouse, the "lock rotation axis" option works fine, but the SpaceMouse seems to simply override that lock.
I wonder whether I am configuring the hardware wrong, or CloudCompare simply can't avoid being overridden by the hardware. In this case, I would humbly suggest that this problem should be addressed in future updates.
The absence of rotation axis locking with a SpaceMouse throws away most of its navigation improvement potential. For such an expensive tool, this situation upsets me lot.
Thanks a lot for any help, and congratulations for this amazing and powerful software!
Lock Rotation Axis when using 3D Mouse
Re: Lock Rotation Axis when using 3D Mouse
So normally, with a space mouse you can already lock the rotation (via its own menu). And indeed, it's managed separately as it's a specific hardware.
