Hi everybody,
I am completely new in CloudCompare, but reading a lot what is possible or not, I begin slowly to feel better with it. I would like to ask you, because some objects that are on the ground are detailed and those who are higher are detailed to. But at the border of these objects, there are less points. So the density is less. Is there a way in programmation with the CloudCompare code to isolate these points? (ground and higher object with a kind of filter?) -> In fact it would be used like an edge reconition tool.
filter by density by programming?
Re: filter by density by programming?
Do you have a snapshot of your cloud?
I guess there are many ways to do that, but from your description I guess you can compute the local density (with Tools > Other > Compute geometric features) and then filter the points based on the (density scalar field) values?

Do you think there is a way to extract the upper part and the bottom part separetly?
Re: filter by density by programming?
Sorry, the difference of density doesn't look that obvious to me!
