open las & laz in CC on debian

Hi,
I successfully installed CC 2.5.3 on my Debian machine but I was surprised not being able to open file under the las and laz format. Is this because it is an older version of CC or is this a problem on my machine?

Have you compiled the project yourself? If yes then you must enable LAS/LAZ support in the Cmake configuration (and provide the corresponding library files).

Otherwise, if you used romain janvier's package I'm not sure he has compiled it with LAS/LAZ support...

No, I used Romain's package. And it is too early for my linux carreer to compile the software myself (not at this level of computer programing yet). I'll get around it differently. Thanks Daniel
