Importing grouped files?

Post by AEA »

Hi there,
I use to import XYZ files in .bin files one by one and then create groups to organize them. Is there a way to import and group a number of point clouds automatically?

Thank you!

Well, you can load as many files as you want at a time (either select multiple files in the File Open dialog, or drag and drop multiple files on the 3D view). Then since the last version (2.6.0) you can use the "Apply all" button to speed up the process with ASCII files.

And regarding the organization there's no automation right now.

Hello, I'm looking for the same thing. Is there a way to import files and create the structure automatically?

I don't see any solution to create the structure before hand... Nor any format that would allow to store it (apart from the internal BIN format of course).
