As stated in the subject, im super new to CloudCompare. A noob if you will..
Anyway, we are creating digital elevation maps from a cloud point data set. CloudCompare has been a great application to filter my data and segment the cloud to speed things up. After I have created contours, I would like to export this file as a dxf file to open in Civil3d. C3D will allow us to create a surface analysis for our elevation map and export as a .pdf to be printed.
After a .dxf file has been successfully created and imported into Civil3d, the drawing is super tiny and does not reflect the corresponding cloud point.
Please help! Not sure how to fix this issue and would appreciate any help.

CC noob needing help with DXF
Re: CC noob needing help with DXF
Sadly, it's hard to debug such an issue. Have you been able to load the DXF file in another SW? Have you even tried to reload the DXF file in CloudCompare?

Oh, and is the scale of the cloud in CloudCompare ok?

Re: CC noob needing help with DXF
The scale of my cloud point seems to be correct. The CP is processed in Faro Connect and exported as an .e57 to bring into CC. The origin is also set before converting for CC. Eventually the CP is rasterized to create contours and eventually saved as a DXF. When the exported dxf is taken into C3D, then the scale appears to very small.

Would you be able to share the files with me? (admin@cloudcompare.org)
