Removing points from overlapping scans by specific scans
Re: Removing points from overlapping scans by specific scans
Indeed, I don't think anything has moved on this front since then.

That method is really great, but I have some issues with saving the results to e57
After making Colour from RGB (alpha is set as default to fix at 25,5 - the best result), and saving cloud, the exported cloud is missing that RGB - it returns to values from original cloud. Any suggestions?

Not sure how you set alpha to 25.5 (?) but anyway, RGB colors should be saved in a E57 file as is. Maybe the other tool you use is displayed a scalar field (intensity?) instead of the RGB colors?

Re: Removing points from overlapping scans by specific scans
Just out curiosity, what is the use case for a pointcloud with corrected colors instead of using the photospheres?
Re: Removing points from overlapping scans by specific scans
After using 'Edit > Colors > From Scalar fields' tool I receive colors I want (mix of all my scans),
then I save it to e57, once I open it again, the view of RGB changes to the beggining.

Re: Removing points from overlapping scans by specific scans
And did you say you were able to use an alpha component for the colors? Because I don't think it is saved in the RGB field of the E57 file (not even sure this is supported by the E57 format).
