Hello, I have a .xyz.asc file containing 4 scans from a Lidar-Terrestrial (1 hemispherical central scan and 3 devices scans). 4 These scans were performed on a circular forest plot radius of 11.26m and include a relatively large buffer. My goal is to isolate a point cloud of 15m-15m from the center of my circular plot (30m square of side whose center is located in the hemispherical 0.0.0 scan) and wich includes a wide range of issues the 4 scans. Is it possible to achieve a kind of clipping box and export the POI cloud .asc format? If so how?
Clipping box on multi scan
Re: Clipping box on multi scan
Well, there's a 'Cross Section' tool that corresponds to the 'clipping box' you look for (look at Tools > Segmentation > Cross Section). However this tool only works with one cloud at a time for now. If you can merge all the clouds first, then it's simple.
If you want to keep the clouds separated, then you should use the simpler Edit > Crop tool (works the same but there's no fancy interactors, you have to manually input the box limits). You can select all the clouds and apply it in one run.

Ok thanks you very much for your answer. I've got just another question : is it possible to export this new clipped cloud in .asc (because I need to use this cloud in special program to associate the TLS data with ALS data)? And if so where is this function?
Re: Clipping box on multi scan
Select the cloud then 'File > Save' (and choose the.... ASCII file format ;)
