measurement vector

Post by pandrade15 »

Hi, I'm working with TLS point clouds to measure tool marks on the sliding blocks and i would like to know if CC had a function to measure the vectors (trend and plunge)?

You can measure a 'vector' as a 3D thing (with the Point picking tool, using the '2 points' mode).

And CC knows how to compute the dip and dip direction (the equivalent of 'trend and plunge' for geologists ;) but sadly it won't be easy to get the info for you (as currently it's only accessible for plane or facets normals, not for polylines).
