Hi, I've just installed CC for the first time today and I love how responsive and easy to use it is. So far, I've come across 2 strange behaviors. The first one was with copying matrices between segmented point clouds. I had a 2 big point clouds, so I isolated just the parts that overlapped, aligned those, than I wanted to apply the transformation to the remaining part of the point cloud and it worked just fine when I did a manual 3-point alignment, but once I tried the automatic alignment, copying the matrix didn't work at all.
The other annoying thing is, when I try to open multiple meshes at once (I'm using textured .obj files), only the first mesh is textured, the second one is either black, or white, depending on whether the other mesh is hidden or not. To make sure it's not a problem with the meshes, I imported them in reversed order and again, only the first one came in textured.
Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong, or possible workarounds, if these are bugs?

Re: new user struggling with weirdness... maybe bugs?
For the first point, I guess you are applying the fine registration after the manual 3-point alignment? If yes you must pay attention to the fact that you would have to apply the first matrix (manual alignment) and then the second one (fine registration). Anyway, to avoid doing this you should instead use the 'Transformation history' (see the aligned cloud's properties). This transformation (matrix) corresponds to the global transformation that was applied since the cloud was loaded in CC. You can export it to the clipboard (or a file) and the paste it (or load it) in the 'Apply Transformation' tool (selecting another cloud).
For the second point, it looks like a bug. But it depends on a lot of things: on what OS are you running CC? What is you graphic card manufacturer and model? Have you updated the drivers recently?

Thanks for the reply Daniel,
as for the drivers, I did an update a while ago, should I try to look for newerdrivers, or try to revert to some older ones?

You can always try with newer ones.
If you have an Intel or ATI card, it may be another issue.. And what is your OS?

Hi,
thanks for the reply. I run windows 10 pro and have an Nvidia geforce gtx660 with almost a year old drivers. I'll try the newer drivers once I have more time to experiment a little bit more.

Strange, it should work seamlessly with NVidia cards (but there still may be an error with some drivers?).
Anyway I tested this (loading multiple textured meshes) on various computers and it seems to work fine. Are you using the latest 2.7.0 (or 2.8.0.beta) version?

I'm using the 2.7.0 version, I'll try some newer gpu drivers as soon as I have the time to do so.
Thanks again for your quick support.
