Hi all
I only started using cloudcompare yesterday - I need a tool that can quickly load and calculate elevation profiles from point clouds developed from UAV photogrammetry, plus software that can do orientation facet analysis, hence CC looks great.
I've hit a major stumbling block already though. When I load in my .ply files the zoom centre seems to be outside the bounding box. This isn't a real issue, however, it seems to be an underlying issue that means when I try and pick points, or do a Extract Section function, my selected points are shifted toward the zoomed centre, not the place I click.
The .ply file seemed to work fine in Agisoft and Meshlab, but I'm struggling to know how to fix it in CC.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Zoom not centred/Pick Points Offset
Re: Zoom not centred/Pick Points Offset
Do you have a Mac with a Retina display? I know the 2.7.0 version is not compatible with Retina displays (in this case you should try with the previous version).

Yes, that would be it.
I found a work around, for some reason it seemed if I opened the .ply in an older version (2.6.1), save the .bin in that version and then opened that in 2.7.0 version it worked! Allows me to use the benefits of the latest version.
Do you know if there will there be a 2.7.1 with retina compatibility?

I believe the code has already been fixed. But you'll have to ask Andy Maloney for a new package on Mac OS.
