Point cloud decimates with zoom

Problem: Sometimes when I load a point cloud it appears in lines of dots as if there is some sort of grid running through it, this is especially noticeable when zooming in close. Is this a setting in CloudCompare that can be turned off? The top image shows the point cloud of a building area. The bottom image shows how the ame area looks in CloudCompare.

Have you accepted to shift your cloud at loading time? It looks like an accuracy issue, which is typical of clouds with large coordinates (CC and OpenGL use 32 bits floating point coordinates, and can't handle large coordinates properly).
