Hello,
Is CloudCompare compatible with my computer?
Processor: Intel Xeon CPU E5-2623 v3 @ 3.00 GHz (2 processors)
RAM: 32 GB
System Type Windows 7 (64-bit)
Graphic Card: AMD FirePro W5100 (4GB)
I got a crash with the latest stable release (2.7).
The point clouds (1.5 GB and 0.92 GB) have a point spacing of 2 cm.
Apparently, the issue doesn't happen after a particular operation.
Initially, I solved by dividing the cloud and hiding the parts that don't interest me.
Now, I'm getting a crash even with small portions (after Computing M3C2 distances) and I can't use ctrl+alt+del.
Crash with the latest stable release
Re: Crash with the latest stable release
It may be an issue with your graphic card (OpenGL support is very poor with AMD cards).
You can try to:
- update your graphic card driver
- deactivate some 'Display options' (see the wrench icon, or Display menu): the 'Color scale' shader (but it should already be deactivated) and the 'Try to load clouds o GPU for faster display' option.
