Scalar field value when segmented

Post by dante.a »

Hello

I have been reading around to find any previous similar topic but couldnt find any which solve my issue.

I managed to segment the point cloud according with the scalar field value.

Lets say the segmented point cloud has scalar field value from -0.01330006 to -0.008886645. This value are displayed in the original point cloud from dark blue moving to greenish.

However the segmented point cloud, as stand alone entity, still appear in the above range, but it shows the whole array of colors from blue to red.

My question.
Is there any way to preserve the original SF color scale also in the segmented cloud? Basically can the segmented cloud alone still shows just from blue to greenish?
I would like to segment the original cloud and switch on and off the layers preserving the original SF values

Hopefully i explained myself properly!
Thanks

You have to define an 'absolute' color scale. Use the 'Color Scale Manager' (see http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... es_Manager) to do that.

Typically, you'll copy the default color scale, switch it to 'absolute' and then change the values associated to each color to the values appropriate to your case. Then rename and save this color scale, and use it for all your clouds.
