Hi,
I am trying to apply a scale factor correction to some data clolected on Nationla Grid, and need to apply the scale around an origin value to merge with other data sets.
Is this possible? The edit - multiply/scale tool does not seem to offer an origin option
Thanks
Apply Scale Factor centered on an Origin
Re: Apply Scale Factor centered on an Origin
By default the scale is applied relatively to the world origin (0, 0, 0). For a shifted dataset (when coordinates are too big, and you have used the global shift mechanism), the origin is the local one and not the global one (but in this case it's also possible to use the 'global scale parameter to scale the data at output time.
And last but not least, if you want to scale the cloud relatively to a particular origin, you'll have to use the 'Edit > Apply transform' tool to translate the cloud and then apply the scale and eventually use Apply Transform tool again to move the cloud back to its original origin.
And last but not least, if you want to scale the cloud relatively to a particular origin, you'll have to use the 'Edit > Apply transform' tool to translate the cloud and then apply the scale and eventually use Apply Transform tool again to move the cloud back to its original origin.
