Hi,

I've updated the 'How to compare two 3D entities' tutorial on the wiki to a more generic version:

Hi
When I input the file (ASCII.txt) to the CloudCompare, It will get an error: Reading error(no access right?). How can I treat it?
Thanks!

Is there any chinese character in the file name or file path?

Otherwise it may be because another program is using the file (in a quite exclusive way!).

Hi
I want to ask you how to get the compared value from the computing distance? The other words:What's the meaning of the computing distance value?
The two point cloud from the same TLS.
Thanks!

Hi,

the distances are by default the distance from each point to the nearest point (or triangle if your are comparing your cloud to a mesh).

Here are the details: http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... omputation
