RECENTER CLOUD

Hello,
My name is Mayank Sharma. I have a georeferenced (UTM, WGS 1984) point cloud of a building. It is in .ply format. When I load the ply file in cloud compare, a window opens, asking to recenter the point cloud. Then,
1) If I press yes in that window, it scales the point cloud and recenter it such that it shows the shifted coordinates of a selected point.
2) If I press no in that window, then nothing appears on the viewer.
I want that if I select a point then its global coordinates should be displayed. I need help on this problem. what should I do?
If needed I can also upload the snapshots for this problem.

When the cloud is shifted by CC, the shift information is kept with the cloud (you can look at the cloud properties to check that).
When you spawn a label (if that's what you are speaking about) you should see the point 'shifted' coordinates as well as the 'original' ones:

Or are you referring to something else?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I was referring to the label display problem. The label displays only the shifted coordinates. I don't know how to add the other attributes into the label.
- In this file, only the shifted coordinates are displayed in the label. How to add the other attributes?

The other problem is in point picking list. When I pick a point, the shifted point are displayed in the point picking list. Even if I save this list in .txt format, then also the shifted coordinates are saved. I want to save the global coordinates of picked points.

Well, for the label issue it's quite strange. In the cloud properties, can you check that the 'Global shift' entry is not (0,0,0)?
In any case you can test if latest release (2.6.0) fix this.
And for the other issue, the absolute coordinates are not disabled by default (I'll add something regarding this in the TODO list) but the latest beta should fix the fact that the global shift was not applied at export time.

Also the other problem of point picking list is also resolved with the new version.
Thank you once again.
