Hello All,
I am pretty new to CloudCompare.
I have a Dense point cloud created and now i would like to insert the Ground Control Points into this Point Cloud. I have a excel file with 26 points with x,y,z co-ordinates.
I would like to know how do i import these Ground Control Points into my Point Cloud.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Renu

Yes, simply save them as a CSV file then import this file in CC as an ASCII file.

But how do i insert these points on the point cloud? Because when i import these file it is not letting me click on ok.The screen shot is attached here. This shows what is happening. If we notice the image ok button is greyed off.I have the point cloud selected in the background then i am trying to import these points onto the point cloud.Point cloud is also attached.
Thank you,
Regards,
Renu

Oups, I think this is a small glitch (as the column is 'ignored' so CC should let you click on ok!).
Can you simply remove the last column from your CSV file maybe?

Hi Daniel,
I am now able to import these GCPs as GCP pointcloud but i want these GCPs to be pointed on the point cloud i had attached earlier.
How is that possible?

Well, you can merge the two point clouds (select both of them then use 'Edit > Merge'). Or do you mean something else by 'pointed'?

Well... you could increase their size and change their color?

well merge option does not seem to be working in my case.I would like my results to look like the one attached below. This was done using photoscan. All the 26 GCPs are pointed on the orthophoto.
