Where can I find old Windows versions of CloudCompare?

Hello,
I am looking for older versions of CloudCompare for (.exe files). I found a site that provides this for Mac (
http://asmaloney.com/software/) , but I cannot find an equivalent for Windows.
The reason I'm looking for an older version is that the current version 2.6 is buggy for me: it does not show any point clouds in 3D (I can only see them, sometimes, when in plane view).

You can look a the release notes (
http://www.cloudcompare.org/release/notes/). There's links for each version.
But I'd be very interested to have more information about your issue:
- your graphic card
- your OS and architecture (32/64 bits)
- does the "Try to load clouds on the GPU" option is checked in the display option?

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the quick reply.
checking "Try to load clouds on the GPU" indeed does the trick!
In case it is still interesting for you to know: I am on Windows 64 and my graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 7570M

Ah! That explains everything: the "Try to load clouds on the GPU" option shouldn't be enabled on AMD cards...

Hi Daniel,
You mean one should not expect it to be enabled on AMD but one should enabled it manually? (I am wondering if will I have any issues come up because I have enabled it?)

I meant that it should be disabled by default on AMD cards.
Do you mean that enabling it solved your issue?!

yes enabling this option did solve the issue!
(Although now I am confused - it sounds like this should not have worked??)

Yes I was expecting the opposite ;). "Traditionally", this option only causes issues with AMD cards (typically the kind of things you observed in fact ;). So it is deactivated by default.
But in your case it's seems to be the opposite! Well, you're lucky, because with this option enabled, the display can become much faster. I guess it's just (another) ultra weird behavior from AMD drivers...
