Saving in Cloud Compare

Post by ilovecoffee1125 »

Hello,

When I save a scan after I have done the M3C2 plug-in, and return to it later, it does not save the original settings I had used.(I have been using the 'save' icon). Example: I adjusted the color to show erosion/deposition on a natural surface. What step am I missing that needs to be done to save ALL the work I did before leaving the program?

Thank you,
CS

Are you sure you save the right cloud(s)? M3C2 generates a new cloud (it doesn't update the one you select to start the distance computation). And when you update the (resulting?) cloud scalar field display properties, you have to select this cloud and save it in a BIN file. And if you want to make sure you don't lose anything, you can also select all clouds at once and save all of them in a single BIN file.

If this doesn't work, don't hesitate to post a new message and I'll investigate a bit more.
