Cloud/Cloud Dist. clearly false

Hello,
I'm trying to compare several mesh but I can see that results of distance computation are wrong.
What I do :
- I use "Align (point pairs picking)", picking at least 6 points.
- I use then "Fine registration (ICP)".
- I select the vertices of the two mesh and use "Cloud/Clous Dist."
I tried all possible settings for the computation, but the results looks like wrong ! For example, one of the two models have a pretty big hump that the second doesn't have ; but the distances calculated in this area are near to 0.
I'm using 2.7.0 version. I'm working on mesh in . ply and .obj formats.
I'm stuck on this problem for several weeks ! Does anyone have any idea? Am i doing something wrong?
