Metric of the density computed by the PSR-Tool

Hello,

I cannot find an answer to the question in what metric the density computed by the Poisson Surface Reconstruction Tool is given. I compared it to the densities I can calculate using Tool>Other>Density but the determined values do not match each other.

So in what metric is this density given? Is it nearest neighbors? Mesh to Vertex distance or something else?

Best regards and thanks in advance,

Karido

Not sure exactly (I'm not the author of the PoissonRecon library ;), but I think it's the number of points inside the octree cell or something similar?

Thanks for the answer.

Well that could be possible and sounds legit. Do you know who implemented this tool to have somebody to ask ?
