Problems working with georeferenced point clouds

Post by ILikePie123 »

Hi everyone,

When I try to import georeferenced point clouds with UTM coordinates, the point cloud appears to flatten in Cloud Compare. I don't notice this issue with non-georeferenced point clouds, which tells me that this may have something to do with the shift applied. As a result, I'm having trouble matching the scales of georeferenced point clouds and non-georeferenced point clouds.

Any suggestions? Is the flattening just a display thing?

Thanks!

Not sure to understand what you mean by "flattening". How did you georeferenced the cloud exactly? Were you asked at any time to apply a Global Shift maybe?
