Crop- force inside

Hello,

When using the commandline -CROP option, I have noticed that if no points fall inside the defined box, then the whole pointcloud is exported, rather than no points

In my case, I have a large number of boxes which I am applying to various point clouds- and working out if a particular pointcloud has points within a particular box is not easy.

I would just like to run a batchfile with the commandline options, and if there are no points for that box, then just get an empty file (no points)
Is there any way to force Cloudcompare to do this ?

thanks

Andrew

Hum, indeed I believe this is because if no cloud is output by the CROP command, the previously loaded cloud are not replaced by the (non existent) new cloud and they remain loaded...

I guess we can indeed change the behavior. Stay tuned.

Hi Daniel

thank you so much for making this change so quickly, and for Cloudcompare itself.
Cloudcompare really is a fantastic application.

I have tested and it works great. I see the following message:

Which command did you use exactly?
