Display problem

Post by Sasha_SB »

Hi
I have a cloud bin that I've been editing fine on my mac. But when I try to open it on the windows version (the comp should be more powerful) the display prevents me from editing it. Every single time I zoom in/out or tilt/rotate - in short whenever I do anything, it regenerates the display. It takes about 5s to do this, which makes the process unmanageable, since to edit I need to constantly move and rotate the cloud. Why could this be happening, and how can I make it smooth again like my mac version?
For reference, a stop motion sequence of what it looks like is attached.
Thank you very much for your time and support - and the great software!
Sasha

That's probably the LOD mechanism that is enbaled (because the cloud is more than 10M. points I guess). However the display should be very fast (well, it would redraw constantly as you move, but at least it should make the interactions smoother). Maybe your graphic card on Windows is not that good?

Anyway you can disable this option in the 'Display > Display options'.
