How to export mesh to autocad?

I opened my ptx cloud data, 4 scans. then merged the clouds to one.
Then made a mesh. Now I want to take that mesh to autocad, or autodesk inventor.
Ultimately I'm trying to make an autocad block of a person that was scanned with a BLK360 laser scaner.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Not sure what step you are missing here? Have you tried to export the mesh as DXF? Or does Autocad support real 'mesh' formats?

I did export as DXF, that's the only format I can see that Autocad supports.
But when I try to import it into Autocad there's nothing there.
I actually didn't export, just did a save as, not sure if that makes a difference.
Thanks

Never mind, I've got it now. I was saving the cloud and not the mesh the first time.

Hello,
Once I import DXF (from CloudCompare) to AutoCAD I get huge number of 3D faces which are not connected to each other.
I have tried to merge them using CONVTOSOLID, CONVTOSURFACE but it takes awful amount of time to perform the operation.
What do you do after importing DXF to AutoCAD?
What is the best procedure to get proper model from DXF?
Thank you!

(the only thing I can tell is that indeed DXF is a very crude format, and there's no connectivity information between triangles...)
