When using CC, my computer CPU is working at 100% of its capacity. For that reason I would like to know if it is possible to use the GPU processor as a "processing unit", so the CPU is somehow relieved. If the answer is yes, which model of graphic card is more suitable? I am going to renew my graphic card, and it would nice if you could give me some advice to choose between NDIVIA GeForce RTX, NDIVIA Quadro or AMD Radeon series.
Thanks in advance

Re: GPU processor helping the CPU
Nope, CloudCompare doesn't leverage the GPU (as this is not that easy to port all the algorithms so that they work on such architecture, and due to the transfer time, it's not always that interesting.
Some algorithms (such as the distance computation, etc.) allow you to change the number of cores used, so that you can limit the processor usage.
