Plane definition in Point Compare

Post by mksaoudi »

Hello,

I'm working on a project where i'm asked to compare between the point cloud (from laser scanner) and the theorical planes representing a building frontages. I need to do the following tasks in Cloud Compare but so far, i didin't figured out how to :
- Define the theorical planes : for the dip it's ok but how to calculate the dip direction (having the theorical coordinates)
- Automatically classify the point cloud in order to keep only the frontages points. I used the "segment" and "cross section" tools but it wasn't enough. Doing it manually will take a lot of time

Thanks a lot.
