Cut the point cloud with a plane

Hi everyone, congratulations to the community. Is there any way to cut a point cloud according to a plane? Is it possible to do this on cloudcompare? If not, are there any other software that allows me to do this? I know I can do this by drawing a polyline, change the view and use the "segment" tool but the plane that interests me has a particular inclination.
Thanks to trutti in advance.

Well, you can create a plane (with Edit > Plane > Create) and then compute the distances between the cloud and this plane, and eventually you can segment the cloud based on the points distances (so just split the cloud below and above 0).
P.S.: when you create the plane, make it large ;)

Thanks Daniel you were very helpful! I wanted to ask you another question. When I create a plane, it doesn't keep the global coordinates. how can i do to create a plane that has global coordinates? I need to have the geo-referenced plan.

Ah, you want to transfer the cloud Global Shift to the plane, is that it?
There are no automated way to do that, but you can use 'Edit > Edit global shift & scale' to manually change the Global Shift (and copy-paste the shift vector from the cloud - you can read its coordinates in the cloud properties).
