cloud compare vs cloud compare stereo

What's the difference between the two versions of software?
I thought that the vanilla version wasn't support stereo view but recently I discovered that it also has this functionality.

Thank you. Very clear. Because there are some addons that only support the vanilla version. But I didn't want to loose anaglyph support.
